Lee Engineering recently undertook an exciting upgrade to the multisensory studio at Mayfield School in Chorley, Lancashire. The existing equipmentin the school was replaced by state of the start systems which brought the studio firmly into the Millenium. Video, audio and lighting systems were integrated onto one, simple to use 19" touchscreen that provided access to all aspects of room function. An integrated media server was supplied which allowed multimedia content to be stored and controlled from one source.
A key requirement of the school was that custom themes could be prepared and stored by the staff at the school. Through the integration of the lighting, video and audio system with the media server, staff can store room "looks" and link to specific media in the server so that a particular theme can be recalled from a single button push rather than the need to set each aspect of the room separately. The themes hold settings for lighting, audio routing, video routing, projector status and specific video and / or audio files. A sinlge button press then recalls each aspect of the theme and automatically starts the theme running. The entire system can be controlled and monitored remotely from our offices in Lancaster.
