Lancaster University Students Union
Project: Supply of audio, video and lighting equipment
Location: Lancaster Univeristy, Lancaster, UK
Date Completed: September 2010
Client: L.U.S.U.
Lighting Architect/Designer: Lee Engineering Ltd.
Lee Engineering supplied a complete PA system and a mobile Conference system to
L.U.S.U. A need was identified to, in the long term, reduce the yearly spend on rental equipment and also to povide a pool of equipment that
could be made available to both students and student societies for use in various functions. A system was designed that was flexible, easy to use and
more importantly, looked and sounded great. Through the use of self powered speakers in all areas of the system, it has proved to be a most flexible
system with speakers being used in more than just the roll they were supplied to undertake. Eg Powered monitor speakers being used as PA speakers for
small events. Lee Engineering supplied all hardware, cabling, fightcases, microphones and trussing / stands for the system.
The system comprised state of the art digital mixing systems for larger scale events and also a small 16Ch analogue desk for the conference
system. The Conference system itself also comprised video projection, LED lighting, mobile self powered line array speakers and a number of
CH38 radio mic systems.
